Join us for the third in the series of Manning Chamber Music Series concerts for the 2011-12 season on January 23, 2012. The Series is a partnership between the North Carolina Symphony and Peace College and is made possible through the generosity of Sara Jo Allen Manning ’58 ’60 and The Manning Chamber Music Series Fund, established in 2006.
This month’s concert features Olga Kleiankina, piano; Maria Evola, violin; Jacqueline Saed Wolborsky, violin; Amy Mason, viola; Nate Leyland, cello; Peng Li, cello; Mary E. Boone, flute; and Andrew Lowy, clarinet.
The evening’s selections will include:
- Piazzolla: Tango Etude No. 3
- Piazzolla: Milonga en Re Escualo
- Ginastera: String Quartet No. 1, Op. 20
- Villa-Lobos: Assobio a Jato (The Jet Whistle)
- del Aguila: Salon Buenos Aires, Op. 84
All concerts are free and open to the public. They begin at 7:30pm in Kenan Auditorium on the William Peace University campus.

Featuring Rebekah Binford, violin; Sandra Schwarcz, viola; Lisa Howard Shaugnessy, cello; Craig Brown, bass; Michael Cyzewski, clarinet; Victor Benedict, bassoon; Rachel Niketopoulos, horn. The evening’s selections will include Beethoven’s Septet in E-flat Major and Brahms Clarinet Quintet in B minor.Questions?
